Southeast Field Day Highlights Latest Crop Research and Management

Farmers and agricultural professionals will have the opportunity to learn about the latest crop production practices during the Southeast Field Day PARP event scheduled for August 25, 2026. The educational program will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. EST at the Southeast Purdue Agricultural Center in Butlerville, Indiana.

The event is designed to provide growers with practical information that can help improve crop management decisions and support successful farming operations. Experts will present research findings and discuss current agricultural topics that are important to producers across the region.

Attendees will receive updates on residue management practices and learn how crop residue can influence soil conditions, productivity, and long-term field performance. The program will also feature a soybean research update, offering insights into recent studies and developments that may help growers improve crop yields and profitability.

Nutrient management will be another key focus of the event. Specialists will discuss nitrogen stabilizers and explain their role in improving nutrient efficiency. Participants will also learn about nitrogen and sulfur interactions, including how proper nutrient balance can support healthier crop growth and stronger production outcomes.

Disease management remains a major concern for many farmers. During the field day, experts will review current disease management tools and strategies that can help producers identify potential threats and reduce crop losses. The sessions will provide practical recommendations that growers can apply in their farming operations.

Another important topic on the agenda is the 2026 ESA regulatory update.
