Indiana Agriculture Photo Contest Open Through June

Indiana Agriculture Photo Contest Open Through June

By Andi Anderson

The Indiana Agriculture Photo Contest is back this June, offering a chance for photographers to highlight the beauty and diversity of agriculture across the state. Organized by the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA), the contest runs from June 1 to June 30.

Since 2008, the contest has helped tell Indiana’s agricultural story through images that capture the heart of farming, conservation, and rural life.

Photographers of all ages and backgrounds are invited to participate. There are four main categories in the contest:

  • On the Farm
  • Faces of Agriculture
  • Agritourism
  • Conservation

Two winners will be selected from each category, and two additional winners will be chosen overall, making a total of ten winners.

Winning photographs will be framed and displayed at the Offices of the Lt. Governor’s Family of Business in Indianapolis. Winners will also be honored at the Indiana Statehouse during the Celebration of Agriculture, where they will receive certificates presented by the Lt. Governor.

To enter, participants must email their photos along with a completed photo release form to photocontest@isda.in.gov. Forms are available for download in both Microsoft Word and PDF formats from the ISDA website.

This contest not only offers recognition but also highlights the important role of agriculture in Indiana’s culture and economy. Whether capturing hardworking farmers, scenic landscapes, or sustainability efforts, this is a great opportunity to share your story through a lens.

Submissions are open until June 30, so photographers are encouraged to participate and celebrate Indiana agriculture.
