The American Farm Bureau Federation has extended congratulations to the newly elected President of the United States, voicing its commitment to collaborate with national leaders for the benefit of agriculture and rural communities. With important agricultural issues on the horizon, the Farm Bureau is looking forward to advocating for supportive policies.
“Farm Bureau congratulates President-elect Donald Trump on his election to lead our great nation, as well as the representatives and senators elected to serve in the 119th Congress. We are committed to working with our nation’s leaders to strengthen agriculture and rural America, and we look forward to continuing that work in the days ahead.”
Among the top priorities is the urgent need for a new farm bill, which has been delayed for two years. Rural families across the country depend on the security the bill provides, and addressing this delay is essential.
Additionally, anticipated tax increases pose another challenge, with potential impacts on farmers struggling with high costs and inflation. Such increases, when added to existing economic pressures, could affect the livelihoods of farmers and ranchers across America.
Labour shortages and rising expenses are also key concerns for farmers, and the Farm Bureau aims to bring these issues to the forefront. The organization’s leaders emphasized that addressing these challenges promptly will help ensure a stable future for rural America.
“There is no shortage of critical issues requiring immediate attention and Farm Bureau stands ready to work with our elected leaders to tackle them. Clearing hurdles for America’s farmers and ranchers will contribute to the strength and continued growth of the entire nation.”
The Farm Bureau is optimistic about collaborating with the President-elect, remaining committed to ensuring that agricultural communities receive the support they need for continued growth and prosperity under the new administration.
