Nutrien Ag Solutions celebrated the grand opening of its newly upgraded Tipton, Indiana, retail facility on September 9, 2025, with a ribbon-cutting event attended by employees, local farmers, suppliers, and community leaders.
The new facility is part of Nutrien’s broader capital improvement initiative to modernize retail operations across North America.
The Tipton site represents a major investment in agricultural infrastructure, designed to serve one of the fastest-growing farming regions in the Midwest. Guests at the ceremony toured the upgraded facility and learned about its advanced systems built to support efficiency, service, and farmer success.
Rob Clayton, Senior Vice President of North American Retail, highlighted the company’s commitment: “This facility is a showcase of innovation, built with one goal in mind: supporting farmer success. For our team, it’s not just new infrastructure – it’s a commitment to our farmers that Nutrien will be here, season after season.”
The new Tipton facility is now among Nutrien’s most advanced retail locations. Key improvements include a 5,000-ton dry fertilizer storage system with rail access and high-speed blending capabilities, providing precise macro and micronutrient mixes.
The liquid facility includes 2 million gallons of UAN storage, 240,000 gallons of nutritional storage, and 110,000 gallons of chemistry storage, with interior and exterior load pads for custom blending.
Additional features include an enhanced anhydrous ammonia system with 120,000 gallons of NH3 storage and stabilizer injection technology. The facility also has a modernized office, designed with digital and operational efficiencies to improve customer service and streamline operations.
By combining innovation with farmer-focused solutions, Nutrien’s Tipton facility strengthens agricultural service in Central Indiana, positioning local farmers for improved productivity, profitability, and sustainability in the seasons ahead.
