Stay Ahead with PARP 2026 Production Tips

By Andi Anderson

The Johnson County PARP meeting for the Central District will take place on February 17, 2026, at Scott Hall on the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, Indiana.

The event is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST and is organized to give farmers practical information they can use as they plan for the new growing season.

The meeting is supported by Purdue Extension and is part of the ongoing effort to help producers stay informed about changing conditions and new requirements.

Farmers attending the session will receive updates on several important topics. One of the key discussions focuses on different soil fertility approaches, which will help growers understand how to maintain soil health, improve nutrient use, and support stronger crop production.

The meeting also includes a weed control update, offering guidance on managing resistant weeds and using effective control strategies.

A grain market outlook will provide farmers with insights into current trends and expected price movements. This session will help participants better navigate market uncertainty and make informed marketing decisions.

The program also features a crop insurance update, explaining new policies and coverage options that may affect farm risk management in 2026.

Another important session will address the 2026 regulatory update, offering information on rules and changes that farmers must follow in the coming year. Understanding regulatory shifts is essential for staying compliant and avoiding penalties.

The event is led by Shalee Bradley, ANR Educator for Purdue Extension. Farmers may contact her at 317-736-3724 or sadaming@purdue.edu for more details. RSVPs should be directed to Amy Greene at 317-739-6466 or amy@greenecrop.com.

Organized by the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology, this meeting supports Indiana farmers by providing timely, research-based information to help them make stronger decisions and improve farm success in 2026.
