Indiana Farm Bureau Land Use Seminar 2025

Indiana Farm Bureau (INFB) is organizing a virtual seminar on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon ET. The event will be conducted via Zoom and offers 3.0 CLE credit hours for attorneys who attend. The seminar is free for INFB members, while nonmembers can participate for a $50 registration fee. Interested individuals must register by Tuesday, March 4.

The session will feature six expert speakers addressing key legal and policy topics related to agricultural land use. Kendell Culp, INFB vice president and state representative, will provide a legislative update on agricultural land policies. Caitlin Smith, INFB’s associate director of public policy, will outline land use legislative priorities.

Mark Basch, a hydrogeologist from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, will discuss water withdrawal regulations. Josh Trenary, executive director of Indiana Pork Producers, will explain local noticing requirements. Brianna Schroeder, a legal expert, will cover common legal concerns in agriculture, while Alan Townsend, a litigation attorney, will examine recent land use cases impacting agriculture.

This event offers valuable insights into policy updates, regulatory challenges, and legal considerations for attorneys and professionals involved in agricultural land use.
