Purdue University’s College of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Indiana Corn Marketing Council and the Indiana Soybean Alliance, is set to host the inaugural Resilient Agriculture Summit on March 13. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET at the Beck Agricultural Center in West Lafayette, Indiana.
This free, one-day summit will bring together farmers, researchers, and industry experts to discuss sustainable and regenerative farming practices.
Attendees will gain insights into the latest advancements in resilient agriculture and learn how to implement effective strategies to improve farm productivity and environmental sustainability. The event also encourages participants to share questions to help shape future research at Purdue.
Christian Krupke, Dean’s Fellow for Resilient Agriculture at Purdue, emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing agricultural challenges such as soil conservation, climate change, and food security.
The summit will feature industry professionals and researchers discussing key topics, including soil health management, regenerative agriculture, and sustainability initiatives.
Speakers include Caitlin Colegrove from PepsiCo, Janelle Leach from Cargill, and Barry Fisher of Fisher Soil Health LLC, along with Purdue University experts.
They will share insights on sustainability, regenerative practices, and economic realities in modern farming. The morning session will feature presentations, while the afternoon will focus on discussions and research priorities.
The event will provide a complimentary lunch and offer private applicator recertification permits and continuing education credits. While attendance is free, registration is required and closes on March 1 at 5 p.m. ET. Interested participants can visit the event webpage for details.
